The oak for this, our only sawn fence, is sourced from a local estate sawmill and uses thinnings. Hefty oak posts are dug into the ground then a frame of more sawn oak is fastened between. The cleft staves are then morticed in and the sawn laths woven round. The fences shown are six feet high. They are durable and weather in to perfectly compliment the surroundings. Eminently suitable for cottages, barn conversions and very good around an unsightly gas/oil tank.
